Here’s what I’ve come up with:
1) You can click on the tc in the center of the screen (is it called the ‘dashboard’ in the new parlance?), or hit Control-P, and then type either an absolute tc (such as “20000” for two minutes from the head), or a relative tc using + or – (such as “+10” for ten frames from where the skim bar currently resides).
4) The direct export from FCPX can be ProRes, H264, MPEG IMX, DV, or DVCPRO50, but not DVCPRO100 (aka DVCPROHD). I would think you could use Compressor to take it the rest of the way, but I don’t know how this would impact the quality of your video?
