Hi, to continue on the same path I option command click the last point. That tells AE I am working in that mask. To add points along a path, command click along the path. You have to be using the selection tool in both cases.

Hi, do you first blur the UV channels in YUV space? That’s pretty important.
Also, Primatte is great for solid edged keys (buildings, jackets etc…). Keylight is great for hair and stuff with a lot of subtle transparency. If you have the budget get primatte, it even has the UV blur built in.Pete O’Connell

Hey if you are frustrated with AE at 2K and above don’t forget about Shake. Cheap and Good, albeit finicky at times. Shakes Domain of Definition alone makes it worth considering.

Maybe if you took the 4000 X5000 matte painting and broke it into 4 parts each 2000 by 2500 (or 8 smaller parts), then parent them all to a null with appropriate offsets to build back the original image, that might help

Hi, if you go to Files>Collect Files and choose For Selected Comps, you can then drag the aep file that this creates into your other comp.

Apply an instance of the cornerpin effect directly above the cornerpin effect that has the tracker info. Also match the anchor and position properties of the scar layer to those of the background plate to offset it back onto the face.

Hey CaptainMench if keeping track of luma mattes makes you head explode try using the set matte effect instead. It is more like a shake workflow. Just keep all you luma mattes (layers or comps) at the bottom of the comp turned off. It does involve more precomposing but is easier in the long run.
