Can you please send me a copy of a RED project that has a spline mask that is not behaving as expected? My email is peterm@borisfx.com.
Thanks,
Peter.

May 9, 2008 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Spline Object not working properly Boris Red, Avid MCAHi John,
What happens if you disable the OpenGL preview in RED … do you get the same result? You can disable OGL by going to the Preview pulldown menu, then selecting OpenGL mode and then selecting Off.
Thanks,
Peter.

Hi John,
Can you please send to me (peterm@borisfx.com) via yousendit ftp service a 1 second sample of a clip that imports as black into RED? I’d like to make this available to the team member(s) that will handle the case.
Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Jeff,
We had alpha builds of Blue running on a Mac at NAB 2008 for private showing but ready that was really solid, which is why we didn’t show that in the theatre presentations. We’re currently working through the process of porting it over to the Mac and while it is definate that this will happen, and that it will happen this year, the exact date for the release is unclear to me personally (I’m not assigned to working on this project.)
If you would like to become involved with the beta of this project, please send me a request via email (peterm@borisfx.com) and I’ll personally forward it on to the Blue product manager.
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi John,
I’ve personally forwarded this issue on to support to see what the cause might be. I don’t know why you didn’t receive a response from your email to them but perhaps for some reason your email never made it through to their mailbox. Either way, rest assured that we’ll try to resolve this issue for you tomorrow (Friday.)
Thanks for your patience.
Peter.

Hi,
My suggestion is for you to send this email off to us at support@borisfx.com and one of the technicians will assist you in getting the DV files into RED or Blue.
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Josh,
I don’t know why this is happening but give this a shot and let me know if it works for you:
• In the SD version, save the BCC effect setting as a preset using the load/save buttons in the filter UI.
• In the promoted version of the effect, load the preset that you saved while in the SD projectI hope this helps.

April 28, 2008 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Continuum Basics 1.0 not working in Premiere CS3Hi Joe,
The CS3 version of Adobe Premiere does not support Continuum Basics v 1.0 … you should try downloading the BCC 5 (Continuum Complete) filter set from the borisfx.com website as this should work as expected.
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi John,
And had I read the title of this thread a little more carefully I would have realized that you were working with RED 3 and not RED 4. 🙂 I apologize for that oversight – it’s just that I saw the numeral 4 in the thread title and when you asked about the paint I automatically (and incorrectly) jumped to the assumption that you were using RED 4.
Cheers,
Peter.
