sure you can send along a clip. If it’s less than 5Mb, send it to techsupport@revisionfx.com.

Otherwise, perhaps you can make it available via an ftp or website?

If you are getting 1 or so seconds computation per frame (30 times slower than real time) then what you are seeing is normal.

As to the Pro version, if you don’t get fancy with plugins then I suggest just sticking with the regular version. The Pro version allows you to do things like provide mattes for foreground objects (that you must make by hand)…. If you don’t do a lot of manual work on images, then there is no need to buy the Pro version.

And to answer your question: you CAN turn 30i into 30p if you are using AE or combustion. Use the 2xfps mode of FieldsKit.

The main plugin for FieldsKit is it’s deinterlacer. Within all supported apps (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, combustion and Digital Fusion) it can:

    • convert 60i to 30p
    • convert 60i to 30p, deinterlacing every field so 60i becomes 30p, but twice as long (6 seconds of interlaced footage becomes 12 seconds of deinterlaced footage).

Within AE and combustion FieldsKit’s deinterlace can

    • convert 60i to 30p by deinterlacing every field. Instead of making it 2x as long in duration we are able to double the frame rate.

FieldsKit also has some pulldown removal/addition features in one of its plugins.

A demo version is available (make sure to read the short manual that is installed) in the “Downloads” section for FieldsKit on our website: https://www.revisionfx.com
