Hi Dan,

To render, make sure to select Render In to Out from the Sequence menu.

For the performance issues you’re seeing. I have a few questions.

1. Do you have any 3rd party hardware/software installed?
2. Does the performance change if you disable the GPU renderer?
3. Does the performance change if your work outside of the Color workspace?
4. Does the media type matter? Or is it the same for all media formats?

Hi Mollie,

Sorry you’re running into some trouble here. A few things that can trigger this error:

1. Copying to full drive (nearly full drive)
2. Spanned clips in the project
3. Enabling “Include Preview Files”
4. Copying to a long destination/file path and/or name
5. If the audio has been modified via Modify > Audio Channels

Long GOP is supported for Consolidate and Transcode, if the Format/Preset supports it. In the case the preset does not support it, then the file will be copied and not transcoded.

Not often, but there are times when CUDA and/or OpenCl doesn’t behave the way it should. It may be a bug in Premiere or it could be a driver issue from the graphic card maker or the graphic card could simply break and stop working. In these cases, you can switch to Software mode and still get the job done.

As long as you have a supported graphics cards, GPU rendering will always be selected by default. So as long as you don’t manually turn it off, it should always be enabled. The reason it’s a project setting rather than a global settings falls under the answer from your first question.

Hi Paul,

Within Premiere go to Effects > Video Effects > Video > Clip Name

You can select all of your clips and drag the effect to all of them at once in the timeline or you can apply it to one of the clips and make any modifications you want first and then copy and paste to all of the others.
