I installed the latest drivers and switched the playback settings to 8bit and everything appears to be working well. Thank you guys for your help!

Ah yes, I remember reading about the 2008 MacPro requiring 8-bit playback settings. I’ll give that a shot on Monday.

Even though playback was choppy I did a rough grade and rendered out a uncompressed 10-bit QuickTime. Both the ProRes and uncompressed QTs play back beautifully in QuickTime Player. I’m using an internal 4-drive software RAID-0 so I doubt that drive speed is an issue. The BlackMagic Speed Test redlines at around 430mb/s read/write on this RAID.

Can you cats tell me how to verify that Resolve is indeed utilizing the Quadro 4000? It appears in the system profile, so I know the MacPro sees it.

I’m running Nitris DX (slot 3) and DeckLink SDI (slot 4) with no problem. However, to insure no conflicts, Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Resolve each boot from a separate partition. I get around the storage interface issue by using an internal 4-drive Raid.
