Mine is an iRiver iFP-890, not a prof recording device, obviously. It has external MIC input able to record up to 44KHz @ 96KBPS only.

Would this program help with audio being off 0.02s from various digital recordings (see my post below)? Or is that the Dualeye? Thanks, looks pretty neat.

I will check as soon as I can. Thanks for the tips, however, what I am talking about is not post-render OOS but when imported to PPro, or any other program for that matters, there seems to be a 0.02s or so every so often. i.e. if I match up one section of the video, after a while, another section will be out of sync. I believe this is a known issue with different device recording. However, I have no fix. Anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.

YES, that’s how I feel! So far, ProDAD is telling me there will not be any discount, we will see.

    Tracy,
I am sorry, yes, I should really not say this feature is a pro thing. I am very much a prosumer, not a professional by any stretch of imagination. Thanks for clarifying that. Well, come to think of it, I may not even be a prosumer. Haha… 🙂

    Best wish,

    Tracy,
As I mentioned, HDVSplit is a freeware. Yes, via firewire. Thanks Jon, I agree with you.

BTW, anyone know if a notebook or netbook does not have a firewire port, how can one use Onlocation? Is there a USB to firewire type of device that will allow use of onlocation with DV cam?

    Sincerely,

Yeah, what’s up with that? HDVSplit has been out and stuck on Beta and no further improvement. Why a freeware can do a “pro” where can’t? Come on…

    Sincerely,
