You can also look at CatDV, as a MAM solution for Premiere Pro CS6, where CatDV ver. 10 has an excellent integration with Premiere Pro: You can send selected mediafiles in CatDV directly to Premiere Pro, as You in Premiere Pro Bin window can “look” directly in to CatDV catalog (if You are using the Workgroup version).
Another possibily with Metadata benefits is Strawberry from Flavoursys, that gives an excellent combined workflow between Adobe Premiere, Apple FinalCut and Avid MC.

Hi Rolf!
OK, I was thinking of dragging file directly from the Finder in to CatDV, and at the time got Metadata attached to them.
If that was possible, I could have a primary metadata attached to all the files when they are imported, instead of FIRST import the files and THEN attach the metadata, meaning I have to wait until all the files are imported before I can attach the metadata.About the Advanced Menu from the preferences, I wasn’t aware of that but Kevin help me out, so thank’s to all for Your time and help

Thank’s Rolf, it’s exactly what I was thinking of. The “problem” is that when I drag a clip onto the value in the Grouping panel, nothing happens, and the clip doesn’t come in to CatDV, and regarding the “New Empty Clip” command I simple can’t find that in my CatDV Pro (right now I’m only on CatDV Pro, but should on the entreprise version next week).
And to Matthew: Yes, Worker Node is definetively a module I need to look in to.
My purpose right now, is to make some “CatDV for Dummies”, with how-to-do-it and some tips & tricks, so I’m starting with CatDV, and then I would like to expand that to with the server versions, and then come the web- and workermodule, so there are late night to ahead of me (I’m a reseller starting to focus on CatDV, and would like to make this guidance, so our coming customers can start easily, and hopefully get success with their investigation)

Yeah, but I remember Kevin showing something i Pro-version, where You made an empty “folder” with the needed metadata, and then You just can drag all the files on to this folder, and then they’ve got the metadata attached, but I can remember how to do this

The existing workflow is a a lot of videotrailer there are places in one timeline, where the speak are placed individual to each trailer in one long string.
After that the individual trailer are going to be compressed, so if we automatically could have the trailers marked with markers, we could make subsequences and then compress them very easy.Per Ottesen

I’ve just installed a KONA LHi with Premiere Pro CS5 with the latest driver (ver. 5) on a new HP Workstation with Windows 7, and PPRO doesn’t see the drivers.
In AJA own software (Machina) it works fine, so card and cable is OK.We’ve tried to un-install the drivers and re-install, and the installation proces works fine, but AJA doesn’t show up in the capture format 🙁

Thank’s for Your reply, and I can see that this AE plugin really gives a lot of feature, but we need something more workflow based, where numbers just are written, and then (as automatically as possible) the graphs are made for TV with some pre-defined graphs/fonts -
Thank’s, we will give another try, with a complete new image and new packages (we are using Filewave to this purpose) and then we cross our fingers.

Yes, I can do this, but I’m trying to convince a customer to switch from Premiere Pro/PC to FinalCutPro/Mac, but it requires that he can read all his archieved stuff, so that’s why he send a file to test it.
I can stop halfway, and use Premiere Pro/Mac IF that’s the only way 😉
