Oh come on… Not being able to punch in timecode on your keyboard is kind of a lack for a 1000 usd piece of software. Period! Try to critical instead of defensive…;)

go to output blanking in either the sizing page or from one of the menues on the top.

You need to export an xml out of Resolve, not fcp! Go to your graded (and exported) timeline in the conform page, rightclick and export xml. You can now open that in FCP.

I have done two jobs now with F55 footage but haven’t seen the ghosting like in your footage. But I have only had well exposed to overexposed material. I wonder what it’s related to. Might as well be be a problem with a lens maybe? I’ll report here if I find anything on my next gig, but that’s in two weeks…

There’s a switch in the qualifier window and also a keyboard shortcut you can find in the view menu, from the top of my head… Command-H??? I use a panel so I kinda forgot…

What about keeping the shadows, midtones and highlight controls mapped how they are, but add the option to press alt and let the hightlight ball become the offset balance. Wouldn’t that be a more likely solution?
I fully agree on your comments. Been requesting the contrast and pivot a few times. Hopefully you’re right about their future implementation, that would be great!

I had the same issue of now having two command on one button. Is there a way to fix this?
