Most issues I have are with the cables but as you said you’ve recently changed those.
I don’t know the camera but is there a setting for iLink within it that has become ‘changed’
I take it the log capture settings you’re using are correct? I find the bog standard ‘uncontrollable device’ sorts most capture issues.

I too keep having problems with Sapphire plug-ins rendering to black. Could someone please post a fix for this that we can all utilize it?
Hey Mr Genarts great set of filters but unless you get this bug resolved I’ll be trashing mine….

Quick of quick questions…
1. Looking to hook up a MacBook Pro to a JVC broadcast monitor at OB’s going through a MXO2 is my best option? Tried a colleagues ADVC-1000 and couldn’t get the darn thing to work (see other post https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/21/859395). I have no deck save whatever cameras we’ve taken…
2. For a future-proof(ish) edit suite (small) in new office (open plan) any suggestions on monitors?
Cheers

Hi Baz
Never got the damned thing to work. Tried everything. Had it running through firewire onto camera no problem. Thing is my edits suffered form cutting wihtout a monitor and if it’s a persistant problem then I’ll have to look at other setups…although my desire for a fully functional mobiel FCP with Black Magic, monitor etc etc continues to fall on deaf ears…

Hi Baz
Yup and it generates a timecode and indicates a stream with audio…infuriating as I know it works!Cheers

I have the same problem when replaceing rights-restricted video for stills and animating them. My work around is – double click image>save>double click image>re open FCP etc etc.
From reading here I guess add ‘crap handling of stills’ to the growing list of drawbacks with FCP

It was there. As i say it’s not a bad option to view playback nice and big when working off the laptop on OB’s etc. Maybe it’ll turn up when i re-install FCP and updates.
I’ve been using this 17″ for a good year and its just recently that the crashing occurs. Always restart and works fine it’s just that initial start up…
cheers

I was referring to playback using the full screen on the laptop. I’ve got some dodgy clips and want to be able to see some drop out. It was always a default option.
The crashing is things like Firefox, System Preferences, QT, iTunes a real odd array not really covered by updates…although I will run some again.

Boys we’ve done it! Seems QT folder had found its way into the application support folder…God only knows how!
Problem now solved IMX clips and sequences playing like they should…one for future reference…
Many thanks
