Absolutely any io device is going to give you an accurate output signal. But whether you display is accurate…
Even a consumer monitor can be calibrated to get you closer though.

true, and pricing for used red one accessories will likely go up in price (until yesterday, you literally could not give the stuff away)
but if you need a camera now. and high speed etc etc….

ok just tested here. I’m on mac, latest everything. full license / dongle.
only one item ever shows in backup list. i tried a manual save and it deleted that one item in the list leaving nothing.
my system is set up with “database” structure as it is an install over an existing ver 8 lite.
i guess it doesn’t work then. surprising this has not been brought up before…

page 98 of the manual. turn auto save on. then select “to backup project” this should start a list of backups for every 10 minutes or whatever you selected. never tried it though as it takes longer to save and would interrupt workflow i imagine.

you can manually add unique reel names in fcp to clips that dont have them (choose the reel column in your bin and sort to see what you have) and then re export xml. tedious…
or you could try Deselecting the “assist using reel names” command in resolve.

Well glad to hear its not just me, and its not just my extreme mixed rate/resolution XML that failed. Your project sounds very clean and just what this option was designed for. I wish they would just acknowledge one way or the other…
