Thanks again for the information, great to know that there is some ability to remap some controls, unlike the wave

I think i wasn’t clear on my original post, My idea was to run both panels , Avid color and possibly avid control along side it, remapping some functions on the touch screen to avoid extra navigating on the Avid Color panel.

Also the Avid Control works great with final cut pro and media composer, Which is why I would want the avid Control panel,

I will wait until NAB comes and goes before I make a final decision, see what new things are announced

thanks for the response, I’m wondering of switching from wave to Avid Color

I think you can program the touch screen display on the MC Control with all the keyboard shortcuts for driving resolve, I was wondering if anyone had done that , but I realize also that having both surfaces would take too much space.

you mentioned that “the layout can be customized if necessary” how so? Do you use Eucon to remap controls?
what controls can be recustomised, can you change the way and order the menus are layed out?

from the 15 menus you can navigate I would love to have my most used 5 in the first level, can you do that?

I also have 5 x Caviar Blacks in raid 0, love them

what do you think of the Caviar greens, I’m considering of using 5 x 3 TB on another system, I know they are slower but I’ll be happy with 400 mb/s read and 15 TB storage

For a large project turn every reel into it’s own project.

keep in the media pool only what’s needed for that reel.

I have 24 gigs of ram and that still happens if you populate the media pool with the entire footage for the project.
