This is just so annoying! A regular projects, less than 1500 shots, 5 reels.
It keeps interrupt me, have to logout and login again and again and again.
It’s the basic function for a “Finishing System” to handle thousands of shots, right?

    Fix it, please.

If you have media pool filled and got not so mutch ram then you get this winning combination.

It would be better if you give us your config and material length so we can talk about it.

Now it just seems regular statement that stuff does not work but we do not know what you have to work with.

I know what should work and what should not, so don’t just make judgements.

1500 shots in master session, 5 reels with about 20 minutes each. A regular feature film projects.
All shots are 1920×1080 10 bits dpx. about 30 shots got mattes.
12G ram, 5G free according to activity monitor.

Thats goot that you know but it does not help others not knowing.
Common thing here is just sayn stuff do not wor but no details.

Some say 24 gigs help you more.

Do you have only material fom xml or does your media pool have aditional material?

i have 24Gb Ram and i never have that problem

but i guess i never had more than 1000 shots (for about 14 hours of footage on the master session (dailies))

also :does the amount of GPU count as well ? (meaning amount of memory of the GPU?)

What type of files did you have in the Mediapool??

For a large project turn every reel into it’s own project.

keep in the media pool only what’s needed for that reel.

I have 24 gigs of ram and that still happens if you populate the media pool with the entire footage for the project.
