    Hi John & Co,
I’m jumping on the end of this thread as it relates to some info I’m looking for-

I’m looking to replace my graphics card. I’ve a video editing pc using SV11. Now I have to turn GPU acceleration off on long renders,it crashes a lot and using the stabilisation function is hit and miss.

I edit with sony vegas 11 and I’m looking to start using CS6 Premier next year. I also want to future proof as I may start editing in 4k in the next year.

Which graphics card would you recommend?

    This is my system
    Antec 900 Full Tower Case
    2 TB 7200RPM SATA 3 Hard Drive
    OCZ 128GB Solid State Drive
AS Rock x79 Extreme 4 Motherboard (Firewire, USB 3, esata and PCI-e 3)
    750 W PSU
Core i7 3820 Quad Core 3.6 (NOT Overclockable)
    Corsair H80 Watercooler
Blu-Ray Writer – Pioneer as discussed
    32GB (1600Mhz) DDR3 RAM (4 x 8GB)
Asus GTX 580 Direct CU Graphics Card
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

    Thanks Guys.
I’m going to have to find a better small recorder but in the meantime this will help a lot.

    Much appreciated.

    Hi
I’d Like to update this thread. The windows update was not the problem. For some reason ( unknown to me) I had started docking the effects window beside the video window in the display. Once I undocked the effects window, the problem was fixed.

    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Dave
Thanks for your time. I uninstalled the windows update that I got prior to the problem ( it was for .net) and it seems to be fixed. Fingers crossed!

    Hi Ty
This has been the case a few times. At the moment in Ireland there is a change in the frequencies. I’m on the new allocation with my new G3 kit, hotels and churches tend to be still on the old frequencies or something totally different as they imported their kit from abroad.
For speeches alot of the time I have to attach my wireless mic to the hotels wireless mic, very messy.
Thanks for your input. I’m going to up my squelch and see how I go.

    Hi Ty
I always scan the area before I set up the frequencies. Often I get these rf bursts half an hour into the filming, sometimes as really strong bursts and other times weak and then it might go away again.
I keep my phone switched off and try and keep a good ten feet away from people with phones on.
