You can’t record RAW over Thunderbolt. You can record ProRes in Media Express for example.
But this is not about RAW recording.The moment i connect the BMC with Thunderbolt to my MacBook Pro Retina ( for Ultrascope or Media Express ) i get dropped frames internally on the camera in ProRes.
The record button is blinking.
When i disconnect the Thunderbolt it does not drop frames on the Crucial 512GB SSD

I have the Crucial 512 M4
The moment i connect Ultrascope or Media Express to the camera and hit record, it’s dropping frames.
Disconnect Thunderbolt and the Dropped Frames are gone.
I’m getting doubts if this is SSD brand related.
I would like to know if the people with Sandisk 480 SSD don’t have dropped when frames when Ultrascope is connected during record.

We have these issues as well with the 512 GB Crucial M4.
Just to confirm.
Did anyone here used Thunderbolt ultracope during capture?
Or did you also had dropped frames without using the Thunderbolt output during capture.

Same here.
The latest 9.7 driver is just as bad.
You can’t even play a color bar without dropping frames when the Blackmagic Video Playback is enabled.
Disabling Audio playback from the blackmagic makes it work again but no solution.
Its easy to reproduce. We’ve tested it on multiple systems. Also systems with a clean instal.

Would be interesting to see if these type of projects also crash on AVX foundation supported iMacs with Ivy and Sandy bridge chips.

in CS6 you don’t need presets. Just works with BMD or AJA.

If the built in driver is so magical then Nvidia would not update this driver for 10.8.2

Install this CUDA driver with it and you’re good to go.
