OK. This issue has been reported numerous times here, the disfunctional 25p BMD-Presets in Premiere, so for the longest time I have been using the workaround posted here: to edit in a 50i timeline, which works for an Eizo Monitor via HDMI, and then before exporting, drop all clips in a 25p timeline.

I always thought the blame for this problem lay with the monitor’s restrictions or HDMI restriction, but I know this cannot be, because in the wonderful DAVINCI RESOLVE, I simply set output as 25PsF for this material and violá: a perfect image on my Eizo monitor. So the issue is not the card or monitor, it’S the Premiere BMD presets or the way BMD and Premiere communicate.

I have no hope that BMD will fix this issue on an “old” card. What I want to know is: if I edit 1080p (AVC-Intra 100) as 50i in Premiere and export as 50i, conform in RESOLVE and export as 25p, will the deinterlace drop fields and interpolate, or “weld” the 50i frames back into PsF?

Anybody with a tried-and-true best practices with this issue?

in CS6 you don’t need presets. Just works with BMD or AJA.
