Yes you should. Fcp7 will work in lion.
If you cant buy one, ‘borrow’ a serial.

Premiere for Mac does native MXF and native RED for a long time.
Now all they have to do is make the AJA/BMD/Matrox stuff work just as good as with FCP.
Ive tested the AJA io express with CS5.5 but it doesnt work as it should. But im sure it will soon. -

So i can import MXF files into FCPX?
Doesn’t work. XDCAM Quicktimes are NOT native. Apple loves the word NATIVE, when it’s not.

It’s not just the Animation codec that’s your problem.
HDV and EX are long gop. Hell codecs.
What are your sequence settings?
Better set those to ProRes. -
OSX is still a great and stable platform.

NukeApple maybee having different priorities.
But that doesn’t mean 3th party developers will. -

Now all they have to do is make I/o work properly with all Aja, bmd and Matrox products.
