This is the only part that Adobe needs to fix before getting serious FCP switchers.
FCP is superior with these 3th party hardware.
Premiere still has lot of issues in my experience.
Lets hope they get there soon. -

It still runs great.

Make sure your timeline is uncompressed or prores. This will benefit your text\ graphics. -

And it will in Lion.In a year, see how FCPX 1.0 is updated.
If you still don’t like it.
Use FCP7 or switch to something else.Sounds like a luxurary problem to me.
