I am only getting an average read/write speed of 260-270 Mb/s.

Your system drive as a part of a RAID0? wouldn’t recommend it.

If you dont need sdi then thunderbolt BMD intensity extreme is enough.

Sure. Thats why we can do Uncompressed HD and broadcast HD SDI through Thunderbolt on a freakin iMac or MacBook Pro nowadays.

The multicam workflow and xml roundtrip with davinci is awesome. -
I’ve seen a few more lite versions doing this during install. I’m sure it’s not your iMac.
