The problem isnt he footage or the timeline, I found out when I have the preview box in “full” it looks like this… but when I have on “half” it looks fine. Is there a reason why having the setting to full would cause that?

Yes only during editing in the timeline… after the footage is rendered it plays just fine. So your saying my computer may not have the right go juice to handle editing in HD?

agreed! however when I do edit in HD with HD footage… does it matter which template I choose??

I am using SD and passing it off as HD since the client suddenly changed his mind after the shoot. Is this why I am having the problems?

nope and it just dawned on me to change the settings on vegas to 24p
It still looks fast though.. however the slow motion looks fine now.. and that’s fine I do most of the clips I want in slow motion.

I’ve been using Vegas pro since 6 came out and I have never had a problem like this before. I used the exact same settings
Frame Rate 29.970 (NTSC)
Render rate QT7 1Mpps VideoThe slo mo varies for each scene some are super slow others are minimal

Ok try this link 2 problems.
1. I rendered it in QT and the video is stretched out, and 2. some of the picture looks odd like some kind of digital interference etc.

Watch the demo as they walk or look at eahcother. The slow motion effect looks strange or choppy.. i dunno what the word is to explain it. It;s not smooth as it should be
