April 9, 2013 at 2:13 pm in reply to: Premiere CS5.5 crashes when Effects Tab is selected.Hmm..I already uninstalled all my “premiere” 3rd party plugins, though I might still have some AE ones installed. I’ll give it another shot.

April 6, 2013 at 3:15 am in reply to: Premiere CS5.5 crashes when Effects Tab is selected.I’m having the exact same problem on my Windows 7 machine- running CS 5.0.3. I’ve tried reinstalling Premiere, uninstalling all my 3rd party plugins, updating my graphics card driving, deleting preferences. Nothing helped. Crash every time I click on the Effects tab.

October 14, 2011 at 2:17 am in reply to: Will this battery work with my HMC-150 and the battery charger I have?I just tried a SD-VWBG6, and the camera recognizes it and turns on with it, but I haven’t fully run it out yet so we’ll see how long it lasts. It’s a 7.2 V 5400 mAh battery.

The tutorial did not show any background video, which is why you see a difference.
If there had been a video track underneath the titles, you would’ve seen the effects affect that too. As Peter said, it’s only when placing selected tracks into a container (or precomposing them) that the effects are isolated to the titles. This was the last step in the tutorial.

I’ve had some luck using MainConcept’s MPEG Pro HD, but it was inconsistent. At first, it let me view (and edit) footage in AE CS3 and PPro CS3, and I know this because I’ve exported such clips.
However, after some time it stopped working in AE (didn’t keep trying in Premiere). I wasn’t sure why, and when I asked their tech support they said AE was not officially supported for the process I was using.
Nevertheless, it’s worth a trial run.

Hope it helps. I’m currently looking for a permenant solution to this problem myself (that doesn’t involve getting CS5) 🙂

December 20, 2010 at 7:17 am in reply to: Light Sweep displays differently in Preview modesHey Robert,
We are able to reproduce the effect you are seeing when you change resolution. The work-around is to make sure you are in FULL quality mode when you FIRST apply the effect. After that, you can drop still resolution and the effect will not change so drastically.
We have been communicating with Vegas on how to fix this problem permanently. Check our electronic bulletins for updates.
Lastly, to change the position and length of the light sweep, you have several options:
A). You can reposition and keyframe the Light Center cross hair in our UI.
B). You can change the Direction (angle) of the light.
C). You can adjust the Falloff Distance. Personally, I almost always reduce the Falloff Distance to 20 or less, and use just the tip of the light, it makes a nice effect. Animating the Falloff Distance from 4 to 50 makes a nice effect.Hope this helps!

Hi Laura,
To fix the problem I just had to tweak some of the RBG color weight and flare mix/flare ratio settings. Adjusting the lightness and matte density also helped.

Hi Tony,
I believe the filter you mean is “optical stabilizer.” We are currently trying to reproduce the problem you are having.
In the meantime, you might try downloading the full Try and Buy from our website (instead of the Unit). It will work watermark-free for two weeks, and you might have better luck with it. Please let me know.
