I’m just a little confused by all of this. For example, today I have to produce a DVD for a board of directors meeting of a gigantic corporation. Should I just tell them that Apple decided DVD’s are dead?
but when they got rid of the floppy drive, they added an optical drive. in this case, they took the optical drive away but didn’t add a new way of getting data into my computer from removeable media.
I was about to buy a new Mac Mini on Moday. Went to the Apple site and was about to purchase when i discovered that the new mac Minis do not have an optical drive. Deal-breaker.
So i went on ebay and found a used Mini for $237 that HAS an optical drive. Just received it in the mail.
well, i’d say it was better than mediocre. but you know, the Oscars does not have a great track record at picking Best Picture if you look historically at what won and what didn’t win.
i’ve never used Media 100. I just installed the trial version and will give it a run-through. I’m also curious as to why everyone’s talking about switching to either Premiere or Avid, but almost no one mentions Media 100.
I think its pretty safe to say that the only people happy with FCPX are people who don’t do complicated professional editing. You can call us “whiners”, and we’ll call you “amateurs”. How’s that for drama?
I’m with the OP 100%. I’ve been an Apple fanboy for 11-12 years, but no longer. I think their days are numbered and I’m considering selling my apple stock while its still worth something.
