Sorry, thick head moment here… 😉
How do you get Tiger for a new shipped-with-Leopard Mac?
Isn’t the retail Tiger Box only for legacy G5 Macs, and earlier?
Haven’t all Intel Mac Tiger disks been the ones that came in the box with the new Intel Mac, so unavailable to other users?

I’m asking because I am part of a wider collaborative workgroup all using FCP 5.1.4.
However a colleague has bought a new Leopard iMac, but wants to collaborate with the workgroup, using a spare unused FCS 5.1 license.

Anybody using 5.1.4 on top of Leopard without problems?

Apparantly is only occurs on a file Move operation, not during a Copy between volumes.
I don’t know I’ve ever done a Move, ever…

I found I could get better control of intonation and phrasing using Word rather than TextEdit – lots of funny punctuation to get the speech sounding natural.
(The text-to-speech component of Word needs installing to be available).

Not intended, my apologies.

Macs have used cut’and’paste since 1984, and QuickTime since 1991.
Nothing is more fundamental to the Mac interface, and to working with computer-based video/audio/text/data assets – its what a Mac does 😉

Straightforwardly, its worth spending a moment to learn about QuickTime, as its at the core of all Mac-based video editing – and knowing what it does and doesn’t do is extremely helpful in understanding the newer technologies like mpeg or mxf- format files, as well as web-based distribution.

Err? It always worries me when someone asks a question that the answer is so obvious 😉
What don’t I know?
Just copy and paste them one at a time into a QuickTime Pro Player window, one after the other (playhead at end of movie each time), then Save As the resultant long movie with make Self-Contained checked.

Or does doing that destroy the movie clip’s playability on a Windows PC?
