Sorry I should have been more specific. Set up a new windows user account. Log on With that account and try opening premier from there. I had it crash after I installed it. I contacted Adobe tech support because no matter what I did it still crashed like yours is doing. The only solution we could come up with was to go into windows admin and create a new user. Once I did that then logged in under that account and opened premier it opened and worked fine. If you have any other questions you can always email me as I check my email a lot during the day.

Try setting up a new account on your computer and opening it from the new account. Not sure why it makes a difference but it does.

    Good luck

I had this happen too after I had just installed the program. I had just gotten my computer back from the builder who had done a fresh install of windows. I finally contacted Adobe and the only way we could correct the problem was to make a new user account on the computer. The new account was exactly the same as the old one but for some reason the program loaded on the new account but not the old. Not sure if there is any other solution to the problem but at least this might get it back up and running for you. Good luck!

That happened to me too and I had just installed master collection on fresh drive. Only way I was able to get around it was (ok, this sounds stupid but) to make a new account. The new account has all the same rights as the other the only difference is the program works fine on new account. That fix was actually all the help an adobe tech was able to come up with. Before I sent my tower to the builder to be looked at for other problems I was running CS3 Production Premium and I didn’t have that problem. Got the computer back installed Master Collection and the program would crash like you said.

You might try double checking your output (vcr) settings within your cameras menu. Sometimes you have to search a little as the manuals don’t always tell you everything or call Canon Tech support to find the settings you need. (the manual I had didn’t.. same company different camera)

Thanks for the info… I am always thankful for any help I can get. I am going to add another fire wire card to my PC for the Tascam as it also looks like my tascam and card do not work and play well together (shame on them!) then I will put your suggestions to work. Thank you again very much!
