  • Christina, have you had any luck sorting it out? I’m still having the same problems. I also use a Wacom tablet Intuos 4 Model: PTK 840. Not sure if it has anything to do with it but it’s another similarity between our setups. I’ve since upgraded to Yosemite but that hasn’t solved anything as it relates to this issue.

Hey JeremyG, your comment got me thinking about the interlacing, so I tried setting the Field Dominance to “None” and the lines are no longer there. This seems like it may have solved my problem. Do you see this creating any unforseen problems?

This will be displayed on a LED Screen with an aspect ration of 2.2:1. I will deliver them QuickTime files that a video DJ will then play at the event. My concern is getting them the Quicktime files without those horizontal lines? I don’t know how they will be running video out of the computer, I’m still waiting to get intouch with the Video DJ. Is it important to know this if I’m just giving them quicktime files?

Well, Ithink i got it nailed. I had to go to Library/Receipts, throw away any Quicktime receipts ending in a version number, ie quicktime701, reinstall the latest Quicktime player and when I restarted FCP5 it recognized the Deck.
Thanks so much Rob, you saved the day!

    Hi Rob, regarding:
    2. Make sure you have View (Menu) > External Video> All Frames set.
(If the ALL FRAMES option is grayed-out… jump to step 6 below and continue.)

When I do this, and then go back to check it it’s back to No Frames. any ideas as to why it won’t let me select All Frames?
