If interlaced footage is ingested into a progressive Raster without de interlacing and scaled the field differences clump up giving fat lines. At that stage it’s impossible to de interlace.

In Avid original file name is retained in source file column. The clip name adopts that but you are free to rename anytime.
Clip names are for editors to use file names and the source file and source path are for re linking.Pat Horridge

3:2 pull down (up) whatever creates an interlaced in between frame but if you aren’t American it can be noticeable. I do (teach) QC in the UK and I notice it as movement has an odd pulse to it. But its considered acceptable.

I’m Avid terms import is to create Avid media and related master clips at that moment of import. This creates Avid media files that shouldn’t become unlinked.
AMA linking and transcoding also produces Avid Media files that should become unlinked.
However working with AMA linked media directly is more likely to become unlinked.
To resolve that just re AMA link those source into a new bin. Your original clips and time line should come back on line.Pat Horridge

I’d have to agree. The colour correction was dated 10 years ago. The new addition of shapes was helpful but they can’t be tracked (yet)
Also hardware panels are an issue with Avid.
Round trip to Resolve or Baselight plugin are the most common options.Pat Horridge

And as you can’t have interlaced UHD some UHD content is double framerate. 50P here in the UK for sport.
So 8 times the content.That’s why H265 is more suitable. Half the file size for the same quality.
But the maths don’t quite work as a linear expiration for H264. You will find the codec becomes more efficient as the data rate goes up.

Actually UHD is twice the width and twice the height of Full HD so 4 times or quad HD.

Then they aren’t re linked yet.
Copy the sub clips and the transcode master clips to a new bin. Ose every other bin.
Select the subclip and then relink and chose the section option relink to selected open bins.Pat Horridge
