    Thanks Arnie,
In fact I did, I had to slow something and instead of doing it on the timeline and have everything pushed, I did it on the clip.

    Makes sense.

    Thanks

    Guys,
    Maybe I explained it wrong.
The lacie USB in question is NOT part of my FCP HDs group, it is, as you suggested for business files etc, but it still created an issue i guess. The other Lacies are on Firewire as is the G-raid.
Thanks for the great suggestions and support!! This forum rocks!
I hope that was the issue. I’ll have to see when I get home form work ad start working.
    thanks again

I didn’t get your reference…but i think i figured it out……i also have a lacie 250gb via USB, not much on it…nothing i use for work anyways….once I turned that off….everything works like it has been. I hope it will last.
It may be corrupted and I probably should run Disk Warrior on it.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
it is empty…1TB….I have tried different ways of setting up….the video, audio capture and render on the Free 1TB and the autosave volt etc on another that is half empty…still chokes.
I am on safe RT, i tried lowering the quality of playback.
Now…..if I turn the lacies off, and I use only my Graid on any other project, the machine works fine…after shutting down and restarting the app.
could it be the Lacies? I don’t know, but I know I need to get a fix for this relatively fast.
    thanks

    Walter thanks,
I bought an Apple one with a huge power supply, and I think the problem is that is a DVI to ADC when I need an ADC to DVI. I am not even sure Apple makes one.
    Thanks

    Hello again,
This might not be the right forum but I haven’t been able to find it, so I want to apologise in advance.

I went with a MAC display, but I can’t connect it to my G5. I bought a DVi to ADC adaptor but…no sir, that’s the wrong one. My Mac has a DVI (where I have the old monitor in) and a ADC, where I do connect my new display?

    thanks

    Hello,
Can anyone give me their thought on the Samsung Syncmaster 245BW vs the apple display or the Dell?
    thanks

    Thanks!

I was actually misled, it is DVCPRO24p. and i think that there’s about 60hrs of footage.
Given by my calculations I should be ok. There’s always need for more storage.
I will check out the site and the raid 5.
    thanks

I have the one that came with tiger, I mean I have been updating it, but the issue is also with firefox….not as bad as with safari though. I believe al of the slowing down started when Hotmail updated to live. I might be wrong…it might just be a coincidence.
Do you have a link where to get beta 3.0? I tried to do a software update and after 30 mins there was nothing.
    thanks
