The FS7 material (which is 25fps) has been shot using Sony’s MXF file format. Everything else that is 24fps has been shot ProRES 444 3.2k.

If I created ProRES 444 files from the MXFs, then conformed them in Cinematools and then created the edit proxys from those new masters; could that be a solution?

The computer crashed again last night and now refuses to turn on. Well it does turn on, but at the grey start screen I can see the apple Icon but there is blocks all over the screen. and it’s frozen.

Thanks Michael. My main problem is that my clients want Digibeta masters, and it’s whether or not I start playing them out, after I transcode a H.264 to a format that I can playout ie. ProRES or Uncompressed 422.

Is there not a way to do a workaround without an external hard drive. The amount of media is about 250GB. The offline media is only about 17GB.

What about if I cut the offline stuff and then export and EDL?
