So this sounds like the clip length was somehow extended past its original length on the import back into Premiere. Odd.

Do you mean that he sees tiny diagonal lines on the ends of clips in his timeline? If so, this indicates that there is less actual media to that clip than the length of that clip in the timeline. This would imply that his timeline doesn’t match yours. The question is why does he see these at all if they aren’t part of the locked cut. I presume you only rendered the clip lengths in the sequence. Did you add handles to the clips in the delivery dialogue? Has he tried to trim the clip longer or add transitions that go past the length of the clip?

For example, I’m running a 2013 Mac Pro at work with a SanLink 10Gig adapter, BMD UltraStudio Express, and a CalDigit dock all connected as TB2. Monitor 1 is a 27″ Mac display connected to one of the Mac’s TB2 ports via its MiniDisplayPort plug. Monitor 2 is an older 20″ Mac display also connected to the Mac’s TB2 ports. There’s a Promise RAID connected to the CalDigit dock’s TB2 and a large Panasonic display connected via HDMI from the dock.
All 3 displays show up in Premiere with video playback going to the Panasonic via the dock. When I had tried to run all of these from the Mac, I couldn’t get 3 monitors to display, because the HDMI from the Mac robbed the TB2 ports of power. So sometimes it’s a bit tricky getting the right combo to work.
Have you tried HDMI on the 3rd display?

I suspect it’s not Premiere, but the MBP’s graphics card. It can’t drive 3 displays at once. The 3rd display is connected to the CalDigit, right? What is the 2nd display and how is it connected?

TB3 does not support video, like TB2 did. You would have to got to the dock and then from the dock via HDMI to the monitor.

There are two current versions of Lightroom. Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC. The Classic version allows you to save files locally. The CC version makes up upload the original files to the cloud. Features are similar between the two and are evolving. In some cases CC has features that Classic doesn’t, but also it’s the other way around. Granted it’s purely speculation, but anything named ‘Classic’ doesn’t feel like it has a long-term future. We’ll have to see what happens as the two feature sets get closer to parity.

Ha ha ha! Start working in 4K. When our guys come back from a 1 week shoot, it’s often 25-30TB of media that needs to be copied over to shared storage, plus backed up, plus creating (in some cases) proxies, too. Gee… doesn’t 8K and 16K sound like fun :/

One interesting thing is that when the change originally hit, the new price was on the first price package page and the cheaper option a bit buried. I guess Adobe responded to the flak, because they put the original price back to being front and center with both prices now on the comparison page.
