Do not think I mentioned that he was going to upload Sony XAVC MXF to Youtube – you can’t! It was to test if Sony XAVC was better than Mainconcept!
With regard to the Sony XAVC S MP4 – XAVC S, I think it came with Vegas Pro 13 !

Just made a simple test in Sony Vegas Pro 13 – with 4032×3024 Iphone 8 pic
On a 3840×2160 timeline – Render to MainConcept AVC/mp4 Frame size: 3840×2160
The photos was pixelated at all the transitions ! Tried to render with other codecs – there were only problems with MainConcept !

The first thing I would try is to set the timeline to 32 bit instead of 8 bit!
I will never upscale 1080 image to 4K / UHD! If you are using Sony Vegas Pro 13 and it has to be uploaded to YouTube as 4K / uhd – I would first try to Render with Sony XAVC 2160p
