No, as far as I know OpenCL isn’t required. However, might your Mac be confused when it recently had an ATI card, but now it doesn’t? Remove ATI drivers somehow?

  • Kim – in order to create a new file, you will need to render. If I wanted to play out to tape, I could’ve just hit record on any deck and playout directly.

The original media is Prores 422, 1920×1080 25fps
I think I found the problem, but I have no solution. Speed adjustments. Variable speed adjustments. On a lot of the clips.. Makes Resolve render a lot more obviously, so it can go back to FCP with the proper roundtrip and all the speed adjustments, resizing+++ will be reapplied once back in FCP.

A shot from the hip here, which I forgot to mention last night in our conversation on e-mail.
In the Render window, you should have a choice whether to render with normal or full scale.

  • I selected the FCP XML roundtrip preset.
Rendering from a session, not the master session.
    Array is 60% full.

You’re correct. You can have four Power Windows in one node.

I had the same problem. Well, I couldn’t even select the Resolve app because it was greyed out and not possible to select.

So I bought the Logitech G13 instead. Works like a charm, and looks kind of cool.

I’m using ScopeBox too, but mainly because I had an extra Decklink and I didn’t have the time to wait for shipping of the UltraScope if I had ordered it. Buying and instantly downloading a software solution was a no-brainer.

However, I like the looks of UltraScope a bit more 😉

    Welcome to the club!

If two or more clips share the original source file, the grade will normally apply to both. If not, you can select the shots and group them together.

I’m not sure about the ‘shot names in thumbnails’ question. I haven’t really missed it so I haven’t thought about it.

OK, so.. A little question here. Let’s say I’ve graded on my own and I want to present this to the client. I have all the grading done on my end, while on the client end nothing has been graded. What will happen when I connect?

Or would it just be easier to export/import project?

I was unable to import XML from FCP7 and Resolve. I don’t even figure out how to export XML, the option is disabled in the menu.
