I’m no photographer, i came from the thread you post in Premiere sub forum.

Any DIY software is only doable for common recovery (accidental deletion, format, re-partition).
Inaccessible card however is another beast, the best thing you could do is to use professional recovery service.

Where is your media cache / database located ?
Have you tried to export trim the project ? a.k.a only exporting the first 75%?
There’s a chance the culprit is broken video or unsupported mix container, it might not shown during editing as if everything is normal. But it will crash on export (i have similar problem in the past project due mix container in timeline).

Yes, make a box, and drag and drop your target effect.
You can change duration of transition, and by default i believe it was 1 seconds, not 1 frame.
You can also change the default transition to other kind intead of dissolve, IIRC, right click and set as default.

I’m not the original poster, i just want to say thank you Richard for the superb tips !

I test it out with a random Youtube clip with fast speech, and it really sound good ! Even at 66 % slower speed.

I think the only issue left is the obvious choppiness playback due frame drop. But it was solved using Twixtor, perfectly !

This is unbelievable !

Once again, thank you for the tips. If i were bump into similar problem/request in the future, i know exactly what need to be done.

I will post the (before/after) result if anyone interested and too lazy to test it out.

pek and cfa is built to conform audio. Well, you can re-wrap mp4, and conform/disable the audio to Premiere spec, if the audio is the culprit.
Many freeware tools to extract the stream and re-wrap.
But IMO it’s too hassle if you’re only dealing with couple of clip.
If the goal was to make the job done, then do re-transcode to whatever codec you prefer (ProRes, Cinefom, DNxHD), see if it solve the problem.
Unless you really want to hunt down what is the real culprit.

You can also force premiere to not embed the metadata inside the asset, have you try that ? Perhaps the 2nd machine is somehow failed to read the metadata.

The icon is stored in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014\PNG

Maybe you can replace some icon you don’t like.

Never having one of those, similar, but usually it’s just really heavy AE comp, and Premiere is struggling to keep-up with the changes, crashed. etc (due hardware limitation).

3rd party plugin related problem, maybe ?
Do this happen on every project ? Or just specific project/comp ?

This is more like an issue that you should report to Adobe Support.
Re-installed (clean) i guess..since the dynamic link is broken somehow..

There is utility to detect scene changes, based on ffmpeg/fprobe. But it doesn’t detect perfectly though.

I don’t know if CS4 can open that XML generated sequence files though..

If you happen to own After Effects, there’s a script that do the job really well (much better scene detection). I believe it’s called Magnum-Edit Detetctor. Not free, $39.9

There’s a trial i believe, but probaly the function is limited in some ways..
But i don’t know if premiere CS4 can import comp from AE.
