I’m still confused with the terminology you used. I’m gonna assume when you said “preview project window” is the source monitor, and when you said “main edit project window” is the program monitor.

Do you by any chance accidentally turn off the video track ?
Or disabling the video itself ?
I know it’s basic thing, but i have to ask that just in case you overlook the problem.

If it’s not the case, try to clean your media database files and cache.

If it also fails, transcode both video to same format, preferably using DNxHD or Cineform to avoid much quality loss.

Did it also happen to other video (In other project)?

When it comes to Premiere, the only thing that matter is the CUDA supported card (aside from the obvious Processor speed, Hard Drive Speed, sufficient RAM, and Monitor resolution).

Agoogle search will point you to a problem.

In your case, i google “Quadro K2100M problem adobe”

Sure no card is perfect, one way or another there will be a user somewhere in the internet who reporting an error, glitch, etc.
But the aim wasn’t that. Read couple of thread, maybe if any of those problematic post is using the same workflow as you do, then you might consider not buying those card, look something else.

Yes it can, but not in the most intuitive way, the marker info was embedded in clip metadata. But Premiere didn’t show the EXACT corresponding box/panel for that. You need to use Search bin under “search all metadata”

Sadly, even if Premiere is able to show that clip using marker metadata, the current way of premiere handling metadata searching is limited to only their default selection. And you can’t actually see the metadata display on-screen, because the marker metadata panel didn’t show up in “Metadata Display” Selection.

The problem with this approach is you really need to use a unique name to your marker/comment. Otherwise, it will be jungle of mess.

What Adobe need to do is to allowed custom metadata search, not limited to their default selection dropdown menu.

I suggest use that workaround for the time being (using unique name), while also suggesting the feature on adobe support.

Yes it can, go to Window|Markers to open/show their panel. You can do a search there

Double/triple the video you want in the timeline, use crop under video effects|Transform.
Resize some of the video frame to your taste.

Honestly, the way you wrote your problem is confusing to me.

When you say the source play fine, in what case did it play fine ? Outside premiere ? Using Windows Media Player or similar player?
Also, there are Source Monitor and Program Monitor in Premiere, and the video didn’t show up at all in both monitor ?

What codec are used in the mov and avi container?
Post the screen cap video properties (premiere) and/or using mediainfo tools (google it)

Hmm,..never deal with this specific case before.
The only thing i can think of is the obvious extracting the one of the track, then re-import it in timeline.

If possible, can you post a tiny samples? couple of sec will do. I’m really curious about dual track audio.

Oh,.btw, did you choose lagarith because their compression ratio file size is much smaller compare to other lossless codec ?
IMO it’s not a good codec for editing, their decompression speed is not good (CMIIW).

What do you mean ?
If you didn’t use the “old” timeline, you can close that timeline, and it will stay on project panel.

Or do you mean you have multiple timelines already open in Timeline Panel? And you want premiere to focus on your recent timelines instead focusing on “old” timeline ?
You can do that by saving the project while the focus is your preferred timelines. Premiere will focus that timeline next time you open your project.

I’m no programmer, but the crash report shown a fault module is dvaworkplace.dll.
Workspace layout is embedded in project files.
So it’s probably has something to do with his workplace layout ?
I tried to reproduce your error with no luck, sadly (but i’m using PP 2014, btw) by assuming the trouble machine has problem accessing either the Adobe workspace layout folder in document or appdata temp folder or in the folder project it self.

Sorry not much of a help from me in the end..
