    >>Yes, you can’t use ANY FX on the multi-cam tracks! This is true for the built-in Vegas multi-cam as well. The reason is because when the tracks are combined into one master track, the FX would be combined and all of the events would be affected by all of the FX. This is never the desired result.

FX like color correcting should be done at the media level.

    >>Any other FX should wait until the master track is built and won’t change.

OK, just to confirm, I can add the FX to an event, or to the Master Track, but not to a sub-track (CAM1, CAM2, CAM3)?

    Hi John.

Are there any known restrictions to my using other plugins (Sony FX or New Blue FX) on any of the three tracks (.avi or .png slides)?

    Thamks.

Would I set the slides as Cam3, and the short .mov clips I am trying to bring in as Cam4?

Also, can I set the standard fade length when I go to process the cams?

Great little tool, by the way.

I just shot a two hour video with a clap board. I am in Vegas. I had to switch ‘quantize to frames’ off, and then I was able to line everything up fairly cleanly. Then the only thing was to go to the end of the shoot, and line up the end.

Cam #1 (Canon HF S10) was the standard.
Cam #2 (second HF S10) was one frame behind.
H4N in .wav 16 was six frames behind.

Not bad for a two hour shoot. So I don’t know how you do it in FCP (and I am sure there is a good way) but in Vegas you just hold down CTRL and grab the lower right corner of the track, and line things up. So I am wondering if I really want to spend $149.00 for a plug in, which will just add more things to the registry.

That would be a great time saver.

If I started this project in InfinityCam, can I transition to Ultimate S Pro? Thanks.

OK, I found it. I held down CTRL, and put the pointer over the bottom right-hand corner of the event. A little squiggly line showed up, and I was able to guess at an adjustment.

It will work for this project, so good enough for now. I take it there’s no way to get perfect synch without professional equipment, and a separate machine to generate timecode synching each camera?

Thank you very much for doing that.
