That screen shot does not show the gaussian blur effect on the event with this mask. I only see the pan/crop.
Anyway, if you want your mask edges sharp, then position/slide the blur effect before pan/crop in the effect chain. With the blur after the mask, then the sharp mask edges get blurred by the blur effect, since the mask is done before the blur.

Protype titler does not have any mechanism to automatically align separate text block entities. You will have to do that visually or give the blocks the same cordinates. e.g. To center, give each block a center baseline setting and give them the same X,Y offset.
Protype will center, left and right align multiple lines of text within a single text block. Simply enter multiple lines of text into a block. Enter edit mode on that text block. Select the line(s) you want to align (important) and use the Line Alignment attribute (near, far, center) to change the alignment.

I would get Windows 7 updated to whatever your preference is before installing any software. I have always left critical windows updates enabled and I’ve not had problems others report. I don’t get my device drivers, like video driver, through Microsoft/Windows and thus Windows update does not mess with those.
I would install the most current build of your Vegas version. As you state it is Vegas 13 and the current build is 373.

There is a thread in the Sony Vegas forum that has a lot of info with this. A number of applications have trouble importing those files, including Vegas.
A solution was to use the new free Catalyst Browse utility to transcode the XAVC Long GOP file(s) to XAVC Intra and use those.

I don’t know the specifics of the After Effect channel mixer.
Vegas has a channel mixer. It is called, Channel blend. It operates much like the Photoshop channel mixer. It allows you to set any channel to any combination percentages of all channels.

Would you happen to be using an AMD video card with driver version 14.4?
I noticed a problem with the noise texture effect and driver version 14.4. I dropped back to version 13.12. Turning GPU acceleration off in Prefs also works around the issue.

Yes, I watched that video. Have fun with your 32-bit.
It has its applications, but they are very few without high bit or HDR input. Unless you do something exactly like the second example, what are you getting out of 32-bit. YOu actually can get some of that in Vegas without 32-bit. In 8-bit Vegas allows video values outside the “legal” video levels range, aka full range, and you can bring them back into that video levels range.
Sophisticated compositing, of certain things, is an application for 32-bit. Is that what you are going to do in Vegas?
