I worry about doing that only cause I wonder if it will lead to any sorts of effects I’ve applied getting wonky. Does that make sense?

How big a difference is there in the resolution? Is there a technical answer?

I’m so pissed I made this mistake….

So I want to apply a deinterlace filter to every single clip that I’m using? These clips have all been exported as 29.97i from FCP X. Just deinterlace all and add to a 23.97 clip? How badly does it affect resolution?

23.97 is what I want.

Any tips for using Cinema Tools? I’ve never used it before.

Indeed. I just started learning it. By the end of my time in FCP7, i could zip around easily. This is my first time switching editing systems. I guess I need to get used to it in this gig. But man I feel like a helpless child…

I can’t believe I completely mixed that up. I thought I had it right. Is there a way to import PF24 so it’ll play like 24fps?

Oy. I thought shooting in PF24 was the right move for a film in 24fps. Was I wrong about that? I realize phrasing the question that way is a bit naive.

I’m not sure that means, a 24fps that runs at 30fps. Can you link me to an article or something with more info to explain it?

Yeah, I dont get it. I shot in 24p. For sure. But the video does look 24fps even if the file is 30fps. When I exported as 30fps, the problem disappeared. Hmmm…..
