Blow away render files first. Then if it’s still happening copy/paste the project into a new Library and see if the problem persists. Sometimes bad source media can cause this too.

Does it actually sound different or just show as a different rate in the inspector? Any music in the edit or sound effects?

Delete key= reject not trash. In the top of the event browser make sure the dropdown filter is show all and not hide rejected.

Yep that’s not your edit. That looks like someone exported your edit and then reimported it as a new clip (and temhen strangely enough lifted it off the primary storyline.). Perhaps you need to do a deeper search for the original Library/Project timeline. Hopefully it wasn’t deleted. Don’t blame X on the one, problem is between keyboard and chair.

Project timelines can be imported/exported via XML. Or entire Libraries can be shared, assuming media is stored externally to keep file size down. The key is both editors having identical sets of media.

Um no that’s not what I was meaning at all. I was suggesting you had created a compound clip of your timeline by mistake which would account for its appearance as a single clip assuming you have opened the correct Project. Send a screenshot of your timeline please.

FCPX can certainly do it. But it’s a subjective call whether the results are visually acceptable. Show some tests to the final client and see if they notice. FCPX along will certainly be simpler to accomplish.

yep I don’t see X doing this directly but you can do this via HTML linking to specific timecode points in YouTube for example. You could certainly use X to take note of the timecode moments you want to jump to but this is a web development project as much as an editing one.

Hardware H.264 encoder on the laptop that’s not in the Mac Pro could be one possibility. Or a fault in the Mac Pro…
