FCPX – 10.2.2- Clip deleted, go to re-import it: WON’T import?!
THIS is a head-scratcher. (well, for X-newbie!)
I imported a clip into my Event Folder in FCPX, then (thinking I wasn’t going to use it) deleted by: clicking on it IN THE FOLDER, then: “Delete” key. Poof-gone.
-Go to IMPORT window, find same clip (Note: actual clip STILL exists in its media folder).-Clip appears in the List, click on it to select, hit “Import”, little “loading-bar” comes up showing its loading – BUT: no clip back in my events folder! Tried this with several clips.
Seems, once Deleted, they are no longer Import-able.
??My work-around:
-RE-name original clip (in it media folder in computer) –
-import to FCPX – NO problem!So.
I can work around this, but puzzled why it is a prob to begin with?!Thanks!

Delete key= reject not trash. In the top of the event browser make sure the dropdown filter is show all and not hide rejected.
