the answer would depend somewhat on what you software you are using for editing. Some NLEs are better at mixing multiple formats than others. That said, you’ll get a better looking product by closely matching resolutions and frame rates as closely as possible.

Have you tried a trip to the local big box or office store to try out different brands and then order those in bulk?

I’d assume they mean no level on any individual channel should exceed that threshold. Shouldn’t really matter whether you’re playing by channel or all together- it would be the same level to keep everything below.

Not much you can do- it’s garbage in and garbage out. Can you identify the source issue? Bad NTSC/PAL conversion? Incorrect frame rate?

Of course there’s a big difference- two generations of signal processing (ignoring the fact for a moment that different lenses look very different) and chip development. I’d be pretty disappointed if the T4i didn’t look different from the T2i- otherwise just but a used T2i for way cheaper. So if you need these two cameras to closely match- you need to sit both of them down connected to broadcast monitors and waveform/vectorscope with test charts and adjust them carefully to match.

What does the manual say about lowering the bitrate? It’s pretty much as simple as that…

Also if it’s not a fixed focal length zoom it will change f-stop as you zoom through if you’re wide open. i.e. don’t be surprised…

Quick glance on the specs page says yes but why not call your dealer if you’re concerned. Also just an FYI- every last narrative show on TV is 1080/24p these days… at least in the US.
