Walking or tripod? My favorite one lens is the 20mm pancake. But that’s not going to reach closeups on wildlife.

ProRes LT is noticeably lower quality as well. 50GB savings doesn’t make a lot of sense considering how cheap a TB is these days. Why not slip Clipwrap entirely and just stay in FCPX. Faster and better quality…

You could also wash your event through Shot Notes X and see if you can’t organize into larger buckets-

I’d also try optimizing to ProRes first- temporal frame analysis and long gop AVCHD/MTS are not always a good mix.

I’d break that up into two auctions- no one is going to buy a GH3 new at that price when they could almost get a GH4 for a few more $. On the other hand, the lens is evergreen.

If you want the questions to be reasonably intelligible and the recording of the course is of primary importance I’d go with some wireless handheld mics that the students get passed whenever they have a question. Otherwise you’ll have to put lots and lots of mics everywhere and you’ll still get tons of room noise on their questions.

I’ll take primes over any zoom any day of the week. They’re always much faster and sharper unless you’re spending crazy money on the zoom.
