I’m new to FCPX. I imported footage for a multicam edit (5 angles.) I didn’t pay much attention to the quality of the footage until I have exported a small portion. In the final export (not using compressor) the C100 footage is extremely grainy unlike the footage from the GH4 it is mixed with. I’ve created multiple levels of compound clips and used them in the multicam. When I view the c100 footage from the disk in Quicktime it looks great.

I don’t want to convert and reimport and realign all of the c100 footage. What can I do to get the footage looking better?

    Are you in proxy mode?

    Hey Jonathan –

I was cutting yesterday on C100 footage and it looked just fine on the output. Like Noah said, check if you accidentally created proxy media on the input.
