If they were networked together via say XSAN you could do that virtually otherwise checking out external drives is the way to go. Or enforce user settings per student.

Delivery as what- web clips or on a phone? I’d shoot normally and maybe tape some lines onto a monitor to approximate a portrait extraction area.

It should match the frame rate you’re shooting- otherwise the monitor isn’t accurately showing what the camera is recording. 120hz setting on monitors in general should be avoided like the plague.

Ask your Panasonic rep for a driver or reader app that would enable you to transcode to Prores. Or grab a 4K capable capture device and play out from the camera into it. Life on the bleeding edge….

And that process can be automated to run as soon as footage hits the drive. Also proxies can be built outside of FCPX and used to replace R3Ds while editing is ongoing.

Nope- it’s always had this limitation. Generally speaking transitions work best on clips in the primary storyline. Which you can force by ‘nesting’ clips with compound clips.

I’d be cautious if you have a lot of plugins- make sure they are updated to Yosemite first.
