There are a few trick you might want to learn.
If you think shooting at 24f in H1, IN YOUR DREAM. No matter what you do, IT WILL LOOK LIKE STROBING FX.
I have shot over 100 wedding and learn almost every trick and tough situation possible. I sleep with my H1.
Let me know if you still interested.
I have demo shot on DVD 4×3 and 16×9 shot for you to look at.

If you are shooting a movie, time is everything. You are not shooting it to watch it by yourself. Please, the XH-A1s is way way superior in quality then those XL1 or 2. Hey, you can always degrade the quality of the XH-A1s to fit the XL1 you know. Accessory wise, check out your nearest Canon dealer or video retailer.
But if you don’t like the pain, just sell the XL1 on eBay and get the XH-A1s. I would recommend the XH-A1s since this is the 21 century.
I use to shoot wedding on SD 4:3. They look horrible, everything cramp in a box!
The XH-A1s is the way to go when come to shoot high quality imagery. Good for a prosumer though.

I own XL1, XL2, and H1. Out of the three, XL1 and 2 are easy to shoot but picture quality is not as good as the H1.
My Sony FX1 and U1 is sold for H1. Can you believe it? These two camera need a white color rework-IT BURNT EVERYTIME. Try to shoot an interacial couple. You in big trouble-but not the H1.
Yea, yea, there are other people try to defame the H1 by saying picture quality is not that much of a different. Please, go kill yourself.
My advise is, H1 is not built for prosumer. It built for the professional. Don’t depend on auto focus on the H1-SUCKS. Once you are on Manual mode and 24F (FAKE frame), the image quality is please suckling juicy water drippin sharp. I love the H1 quality and color.
Oh, I paid off after only 4 wedding shot. Customer just love the image quality. And…I have to agree with them.
Now I’m going to get rid of my Sony DSR300 for another H1.
Oh, XL1 and 2, just buy anyone of those. Why pay for a color upgrade when you can do it in post editing?
Get the XL1. My two cents.Nit.

What year PI3 was released? I’ll leave this open for you. To fresh you up a little,
visit wondertouch.com. The answer you seek is all there.PS. By the way, do you have the email to the guy create the Abstract and Text/Logo Pro emitters? I met him in San Diego last May of 2006. He told me he was working with Studio Pendulum but due to his and my time we didn’t got much time to introduce. This guy, I would say, THE BEST in PI3. I used to look up to him back in 2002-2005. I was inspired by his PI work- he create things that you can never imagine. His old email is dead or something.
If you or anyone know his email, please let me know. Thanks

https://www.forkparticle.com/screenshot.html. This is their gallery.
There another software called Genesis FX. In NO way compare to PI3. Here is their gallery
https://www.indietechnologies.com/gallery/gfxexamples.htmlHere is another one called https://www.damentertainment.com/. I own it, 3D capability compare to
Particular. In no way come close to PI3.You can try different image texture in these so called particle fx software, NONE will come close to PI3.
Even though they can view in 3D but the sprite alway face the same as 2D. What a waste of money. At the
end, I end up using PI3.The one that ALMOST come close to PI3 was EffectsLAB by https://fxhome.com/effectslab/. It doesn’t produce as good fx as PI3 and it is way way harder to use. I waste 100do on this shit.
I tried many software and the best one is PI3. PI3 provide the most realistic many of the effects you see
out there on film was done with PI. But I have to say this, most of those facility will not admit that they are using PI.Have fun.

Particular remove from there forum. I believe they don’t want other Particular user know how good PI3 is.
Thanks.
PS. Fork Particle is the worst.

I’ve done this similar effects before in PI3 with the help from my long time PI3 guru user, Mr. Rath. The logo I dit was a group of text where smoke rised up form to text then poof out each text into thin air. All was done in PI3.
PI3 can do this very well. I must say, this is an advance effects creation not for newbie or even intermediate PI3 user. It involve text separation, visible separation, size of x and y separation of animation, a combination of three effects fade over each other – one is smoke rising up hiting the blocker, two is your text (blur and sharp) align to where the smoke hit the blocker (blocker can have as many you want, for realistic one blocker for each text, set the blocker strenght till it sip thru it, three is use another smoke emitter but make it into area cover your text area. Tweak your effects to your likeness. Last fade in fade out the effects and the text.
I know it seems like a long explanation but really, it not that difficult.
If you are an advance user, you know what am talking about or at least get an idea how it goes about.

If you really want that effects, you must email this guy. He is a PI guru. I’ve seen some of his work while back. For some reason his page is down but here his email. khmerfilm@yahoo.com, I don’t know if he still own this email but give it a try.
Good luck.

I know a guy who is very very good in PI, I think his email is khmerfilm@yahoo.com
I’ve seen some of his works and was blown my mind away. You may want to email him. He took his post off the website due to a company bought his fx work or something.I’ve keep some of his old work in jpeg or you can ask him yourself for original work. This guy is not playing around when come to PI.
I hope he the right person that can help you.
