Thanks, Michael: This is the one I’ve downloaded: DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.0b6_Mac.dmg
DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.0b6_Mac.dmg, but I don’t see the Camera Gyro option under stabilise, which is strange.

Thanks, David for taking the time to reply to my problem. Yes, that seems to have cleared the problem.

Thanks Jeremy, it worked. I was looking for a menu that said Import XML.
Many thanks.

Hi David,
I’m exporting individual clips, no handles.
Thanks.

I am using a Sony PXW Z280.
I have just come back from a shoot this evening and have downloaded the rushes. One interview we filmed today is over 8GB in file size and the FCPX imported the full length of the clip without any problem. The interesting thing is that this time I was using a different hard drive. However, the previous drive was also formatted in Mac OS Journaled., so it’s a bit of a mystery.
Thankfully, the problem is solved for the time being.
A BIG thank you Gerry for giving your time in trying to sort out this issue.. I’m very grateful to you.

Hi Gerry
Yes, the art is always formatted in the camera.
The card has only XDROOT folder inside it, nothing else.
What version of ProVideo Formats are you running on your computer? Mine says 2.1.1, which was updated on 08/10/2019.
Thanks.

Hi Gerry
I have checked the updates and it says Your Mac is up to date – macOS Mojave 10.14.6.
I copy the XDROOT folder from the card straight to the hard drive and then import in FCPX from there. As I said earlier, there is no problem in importing a video file >2GB in Da Vinci but FPX doesn’t see the full file. It’s a recent phenomenon, in the last couple of months.
Thanks again for your help.

Many thanks Gerry.
I am running 10.14.6. Mojave
According to the link you very kindly sent me the System update should automatically update the
“To install or update Pro Video Formats on a Mac that uses macOS Mojave, use Software Update in System Preferences.”
I had to finish my last project quite quickly so edited in Resolve and then imported the XML in FCPX and that was fine but I would prefer to do all the work in FCPX as I know it like the back of my hand. Moreover, I have invested a lot of money in the FCPX plugins. So, if I could get the FCPX to ‘see’ the full duration of over 2GB clips it will be a great time saver.

I should have mentioned that the levels are consistent in the Browser with external sound editors. They only drop by 6db when I import the clip in Timeline.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my thread. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to make much difference to my machine.
