Thanks for the suggestions. Our problem had nothing to do with waiting until the last minute. We cut an entire 2 hour television special on this system last year with no problem, so we didn’t anticipate one this time. What changed was that Avid advised us to do a software upgrade last month, but didn’t warn us that that meant our system would no longer recognize the deck without additional cables or other materials. B&H carries what we need but didn’t have it in stock. Haven’t heard of this addenda R 2/8, but we’ll check it out.
