IT – Guy Friday needed
We’re a small Brooklyn-based company (one producer, one editor, 2 avids and a terrablock) in desperate need of a knowledgeable freelance post/tech expert who can come to our shop and do upgrades / troubleshooting / optimize our systems to work with our storage, etc. etc. etc.
We’ve been looking for this person for 3 YEARS! And we’ve never been able to find someone who can help us. Which means the editor ends up doing all the tech stuff, and not editing. Frustration all around.
We’re soliciting any and all suggestions and recommendations for a sometime fixer / part-time consultant / knowledgeable post guy (or gal) to ride in on a white horse and save the day. Help, please!

In NYC you should be able to find someone – I would imagine there are suitable people who work for any of the many tv networks in NY who probably could use the per diem work. Call around to other post houses and see who they use.
