Thanks very much for your help Sareesh. Sorry I had no idea that NLE’s didn’t have frame rate workflows below 24fps. Perhaps then I should simply shoot 2 identical frames per shot in a 24fps timeline, the equivalent of 12fps. Thanks very much for those links!

Thanks Tero. But it sill doesn’t make sense to me. A 4K clip dropped into a 2K timeline should show up as 50% scale. At 100% scale I should be seeing only the inner 50% of the image as i do in a 1080p timeline (actually I’m seeing 53% in a 1080p timeline).

Don’t know why but “option+enter” doesn’t work on my macbook pro retina when I assign it to “open in source monitor”. Every other keyboard shortcut works but that command “open in source monitor”

That’s one way but I was looking for an immediate shortcut to jump from one keyframe to another. Since AE has this, I don’t under why PP doesn’t have it. I just filled out the feature request for this.

Thanks Jan. I think we should all request this as feature to be added in the next release (CS7). It doesn’t make sense that you have such keyboard shortcuts for move to next/previous keyframe in AE but not in PP since both programs use keyframes.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your help. I discovered that you have to be in trim mode to lengthen or shorten any still. OK, that makes sense. Coming from FCP7, I’m still getting my head around how some things are done a little differently in PP CS6. IN FCP7, it was just a question of doing “extend edit”. But I didn’t find the same for stills in PP CS6.
