ok, refresh rate can be found in the System Prefs,
Displays, under OPTIONS.

i’d day experiment with those
although when we tried with a projector, we couldn’t get rid of the tearing (we played via QT instead)
however, the projector only had a few rates.

i was about to suggest flipping though the refresh rates of the monitor,
but that option seems to have been taken away in Yo-yo.

also check that the sequence you are pasting to has the correct settings
(same as clips and synced sequence)

read up on using the ripple tool.
it will (almost) change your life!

basically you select the ripple tool (from the tool palette or hit “r” twice)
select the side of the edit you want to affect,
then either drag, or enter a specific value.
+12 will ad 12 frames

another approach is to simply select the edit point (hit “v”)
this selects BOTH sides of the edit, but hitting the ‘U’ key wi toggle which side is selected,
then type in your value

OR… (lots of ways in FCP!)
double click on the edit. this will open the TRIM WINDOW
use JKL keys to play (not space bar)
lay forward a bit, mark a new out point,
NOW use spacebar to preview the change.

still images night not be the best use for trim window, but t’s a great tool when you need it.
good for looping the edit, and adding or subtracting frames till the edit point is just right

4K Prores LT?

that’s a weird choice.
if you don’t need great quality (LT), why go 4K?

FWIW i’ve found LT does take longer to render.
i had a off-line / on-line a while back, and the same effects took less time on the camera original (4444) than they did on the LT edit media.

did you export using the default “Current Settings” or did you alter them?

was it rendered?

if it’s rendered, then you could import the render files,
line them up and export.
although i;ve no idea why it wont export

try a straight export with no conversion,
then convert the export to H264

i think you should double check w the client.
what you say they want doesn’t make sense to me:
why have all the audio together in 2 identical steteo pairs?

it’s more likely they want some difference between the two.
one everything except VO & one VO
OR
one everything, the other everything except VO

or some other combo

the files PLuraleyes creates is used to sync the clips.
after they’ve been synced, I’m not sure why you’d need them.

they are not needed by sound post, or picture post.

i havent needed them, and i’m also working on a doc with hours and hours of footage.

copy / paste is the simplest method.
media manager has too many issues.

other than that, it;s relatively simple to move your files from one drive to another.

you can do it from within FCP, using the Media Manager,
or just at the finder level, then reconnect in FCP.
thats what i do.
