Nevermind – I found the problem. I just installed a Contour ShuttlePRO that I’ve had laying around for over a year. The software to set the buttons was still open and it was somehow causing the deck to act up. Closed the ap and everything works fine.

Hi Floh. I just checked – running 8.2.1. Same problem, though, can’t change the setting from the menu or the keyboard. I’m assuming the upgrade to 8.2.2 is available on Media 100’s website – I’ll try updating.

Hi. I can’t get the number key to activate. In the menu, next to “Window” I see the 2 choices but they are both “grayed out” so I can’t change them (there is a check next to “NumLock is Off”). Also, the clear button doesn’t change anything. What am I missing?

I too am back to considering the HD system – I need to attend a local show before a final decision. One reason is Floh’s on-going help (by the way, where are the other moderators?). I hope Optibase is serious because this is a big deal for my company!

I wonder if Optibase made an effort how the HD system would do? It seems to me it is only going to be attractive to current Media 100 users at this rate.
This probably isn’t the proper forum, but did Avid have any Pinnacle gear implemented into their booth?

Why were the Avid crowds “somber?” I can understand why the Apple crowds were excited – they definitely have the momentum right now, but I still don’t like FCP’s media management.

Ouch! I was being naive and hoping there would be a decent amount of interest in HD. While the HD product seems pretty slick (from what I’ve read) I can’t really afford to buy it and have them fold up in less than a year. It would be nice if someone dedicated to the Media 100 had/would purchase the company.

All I found there was an announcement about Media 100 supporting Tiger. I may have missed something – that’s a long list. I was more interested in the general “buzz” at the booth.
