Keeping P&Zs rendered helps the memory issue. When you initially import files, size won’t matter cuz you’ll probably import with ‘resize’ option selected. I can’t remember which effect either P&Z or Avid FX (Boris Red)doesn’t like images bigger than 3k in either direction. The system hangs when linking to that file and you’ll need to relaunch. Not 100% sure if the 3k limitation is there in HD project.

That’s what I’m ending up doing, but that’s a lot of copying and pasting, was hoping for a less labor intensive, less carpel-tunnel inducing method. Best guess at this point, over ten thousand files.
Oh well, that’s what interns are for!

It may be time to resurrect the old CMX voice-activated software, integrate it with Avid’s new Max-T online editing software and keep your dog in the car with you!

After another day experimenting and analyzing previously made coasters, the only thing that appears to make sense is the Pioneer burner isn’t finalizing the BD-R’s even tho the software says it is. When examined under several UDF reading programs and disk analyzers they all came up and said “Open session”. Weird. Anybody ever heard of this??
